Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise mechanics, technicians, and other garage staff.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work tasks, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired according to company standards and safety regulations.
• Perform or oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Order necessary supplies and materials.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act)
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Leadership experience in supervising teams.
• Skilled in task planning, delegation, and prioritization
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Expertise in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Willing to learn and operate with various OEM diagnostic software and fleet management programs
• Proficient in common computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance and repair experience is preferred.
• College of trades certification as a Truck and Coach Technician/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic is a valuable asset.
