Community & Collaborations

Villeneuve Construction’s success is in no small part due to the Northern Ontario communities that have helped to foster its growth and expansion over the years. Most of our employees are home-grown northerners, and our appreciation for that is illustrated in our contributions back to the communities we serve, including our aboriginal and First Nations partners and collaborators.

We also strongly believe in the value of great education. The higher learning institutions of the north have given us employees with the skills, knowledge and expertise to help us become what we are today, and we show our support and thanks through yearly contributions in bursaries and program funding.

Our contributions to local communities across Northern Ontario have included projects and donations to help improve infrastructure, fund programs and schools, sponsor sports, support local businesses, charities and associations, and overall, help to support the local communities that make up the spirit and soul of the north.

Villeneuve Construction also contributes annually to the development, maintenance and improvement of long-term care facilities in various communities. These organizations are dedicated to taking care of the sick and the elderly, and we proudly and gladly support their efforts.

Lastly, the culture of sport and the resulting engagement of the community, and of the pursuit of excellence that it instills in athletes is why we contribute towards our towns’ athletes, to help them keep playing, and to keep pushing to become stronger, better hockey players, soccer players, curlers, fishermen and hunters.

Aboriginal Collaborations

At Villeneuve Construction, we also recognize the value that our First Nations partners bring to the community and to the construction industry, and strongly believe in the power and impact of collaboration that respects the spirit of the north.

For over 25 years, collaboration with First Nations communities and organizations has enabled us to establish long-term relationships across the north and provides building capacity with additional resources and expertise. In fact, for over two decades Villeneuve Construction has taken on projects with our First Nations partners, including residential, commercial and industrial projects.

This partnership, and our continued relationships with First Nations communities across Northern Ontario, has built stronger connections, ties and bonds within the construction industry in our region. This has given Villeneuve Construction and our partners an extended reach in resources and has given us more skills with which to move forward.
