We are searching for an individual who possesses the following key responsibilities and skills to work for Villeneuve Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, monitor, and maintain traffic control zones in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements.
• Direct and control traffic flow using hand signals, stop/slow paddles, and appropriate signage to protect workers and the public.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with crew members and equipment operators to coordinate traffic movement.
• Ensure all traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades, etc.) are correctly positioned and in good working condition.
• Monitor the work zone for hazards and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
• Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to the Site Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all control equipment is stored properly at the end of the shift.
• Follow all company policies and safety protocols, including wearing CSA-approved PPE at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of traffic control procedures and construction site safety standards.
• Capable of remaining attentive and on foot for extended periods, in all weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both crew members and the public.
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
• Able to stay composed and professional in high-pressure or fast-paced traffic situations.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Willingness to work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
• Physically able to hold signage and perform repetitive tasks for extended durations.
• High level of focus and situational awareness required at all times.
