Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

We are searching for individuals who possess the following key responsibilities and skills to work for Villeneuve Construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the operations of human resources department
  • Assist in the development and implementation of labour relations policies and procedures
  • Assist in planning human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental managers
  • Assist with internal and external recruitment activities
  • Assist with co-ordinating internal and external training and recruitment activities
  • Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs
  • Organize and conduct labour relations meetings
  • Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Human Rights, Employment Standards Act, Accessibilities for Ontario with Disability Act, etc.
  • Assists in managing all employee related claims (health, workplace injury, etc.)
  • diploma in Human Resources or related discipline would be an asset;
  • experience in a human resources role would be an asset;
  • must be bilingual in French and English;
  • extensive knowledge of Ontario legislation, Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations, Employment Standards Act, etc.;
  • practical experience with risk identification, assessment, and management;
  • advanced MS Suite skills, MS Office;
  • strong communication, influential with strong negotiation skills;
  • excellent verbal, written and listening skills;
  • strong team player;
  • willing to travel, must possess a valid driver’s license
