Villeneuve Construction is looking for a Crusher Tower Operator to work in various location throughout Northern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• operate the crusher tower and controls;
• ensure meeting the production targets;
• understand and use hand signals, radio communications and safety devices on equipment;
• ensure that all company and OSHA safety regulations are followed;
• ensure that all quality standards are met;
• setup and tear down of crushing plant;
• complete the production reports;
• supervise operations and manage loader and laborer operations;
• assist with all maintenance and repairs on crushing equipment;
• ensure proper lockout safety procedures are followed;
• communicate with supervisor;
• thorough knowledge of crushing, safety, quality and production practices;
• familiar with crushing equipment as well as crushing maintenance expectations and standards;
• work as part of a crew and take direction from supervisors;
• perform general housekeeping duties around indoor and outdoor work areas;
• other duties as may be assigned within the reasonable scope of work of the position

Skills/Requirements:

• prior crusher experience is an asset;
• competent in regards to the operation of heavy equipment;
• ability to work as part of a crew;
• mechanically inclined;
• capable of heavy manual lifting;
• able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy work environment;
• ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility as needed;
• outdoors, rough terrain – must be able to walk on uneven ground and carry out tasks under unpredictable outdoor conditions;
• knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness and capability to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, respirator, etc.);
• willing to travel, must possess a valid driver’s license
